ok so this may sound gross but i just had a baby c-section on the 3rd of this month ...well last night i had a bowel movement and noticed about a few tablespoons of blood in the toilet (not on my bowel movement) just in the water..i got scared so i went to the ER. the Dr just took a look at my rectum didnt do an exam . he just pointed out a slight tear (not very big) so he sent me home...is this the beginnings of hemoroids? i had another bowel today and the same thing exept there was stringy type blood in the toilet as well. im freaked out. has anyone else had this happen?

You can have a cut in that area and not necessarily have hemorroids. If you're worried, make sure you eat more fiber in your diet, to soften your stool.

often after a c-section you are constipated and that causes you to strain because of the anasteic used during surgery. so very normal to see some blood. It very well can be hemoroids or it can just be a one time irritation. you can use witch hazel pads they are great for hemroids . Also eat lots of fiber and drink lots of fluids this will help with constipation and you should have been given a stool softner when you left the hospital if not get some .

A hemmorhoid is a vericose vein in the rectum. If the doctor saw a tear this is something different and will heal on it's own. Just try to eat a lot of fiber , drink a lot of water and avoid getting constipated. Straining with BMs will only aggrevate the injury.

I got a hemoroid while I was preggers with my 2nd. It is just a bump that pops out when you have a BM. Mine bled once or twice- can't say as though I can describe the blood per say. I had no blood while it developed. Get some tucks pads- they help with irritation and healing.

I have had that same problem off and on for years. I went to the doctor and he did an exam and also I had to have a colonoscopy. He found no hemorrhoids. He did find some polyps and he removed them but the problem persists. I'll be curious to see your answers.

My wife had this same thing happen after her Cesarean birth ,but not with natural birth. Could be a common thing.
