Unfortunately, yes. However, if you are taking this test before missing your designated week, then you are more likely to get wrong results.
I recommend calling your doctor and asking the nurse or making an appointment, because if you are then you need that IVF out of there. Also something might be up with the amount of horomones being off for the test to read like that, and that need to be checked by your doctor for health reasons.
Wish You The Best!

It depends on how early you take the test. If you are charting, you will know exactly how many days past ovulation you are. Most over the counter tests can detect the hormone HCG in the urine by about 9 days past ovulation. That is actually the earliest some tests can be used. NOT all pregnancy tests are the same though. You will have to read the box and see what the instructions say. Some tests want you to wait up until the day your period is due.
There are more false-negatives then there are false-positives. So if your test was positive, then most likely, you are pregnant. Good luck & if its true, Congratulations!

If the test is detecting the pregnancy hormone, even a small amount, it will show up.
However, with IVF, you're (I'm assuming) taking drugs to synchronize your cycle, yes? If that's the case, the drugs might be messing with the test. I would wait until you're supposed to have your period, or until the doctor has said there is a viability date, THEN test. All you're doing right now is getting amped up over something that may not give a good reading. You should also discuss this matter with your fertility specialist, not us!

Well if a positive line shows then that should mean positive. My Dr told me false negatives can happen say if you take the test too soon. But since the test looks for a hormone your body produces when pregnant a false positive is very unlikely. Call the Dr to have a blood test or wait till your period is late and take it then.
My personal opinion is that if you see a positive line it is positive whether it is faint or not.

When you have had an IVF, you have also had an HCG booster shot. This shot will give you a false postive reading on a pregnancy test if used too closely to the time the shot was given. :(
Good luck!

I took a pregnancy test one day before I was suppose to according to the directions on the box. After 10 minutes, there was no line. But when I looked 20 minutes later, there was a faint line. Yes, I was pregnant.
So I think you're pregnant. Congrats!

Since IVF is different than an egg being fertilized inside the body, yes, it is most likely you are pregnant.

if you take it too early, it is more likely that you would get a false negative (says you are not preg. when you really are) then a false positive. It looks like you probably are....give your doctor a call
