Whenever me and my boyfriend go out we also get stares and discrimative remarks. And a guy friend of mine has been dating a white woman and he gets hell from the whole neighborhood. It seems like no one wants two races to mix.Even in Hollywood.Heidi and Seal recieved hate mail, and I also heard Taye Diggs and his wife recived hate.

It's a sad, closed-minded world we live in. I'm a very regular, average joe white guy who doesn't happen to be in an interracial relationship, but that shouldn't matter one bit.

It always gets me upset to hear such things and I'm sorry that you and your boyfriend have to be subjected to such crap. I know I can't think or speak for other people, but if it makes you feel any better, there's at least one couple in Massachusetts who feels for you, even if we don't have to deal with the same stuff you do.

I hope things get better an easier for you two, don't let all the clowns who don't have enough respect for themselves and their relationships - and who just have to cast glares and make comments at you two - bring you down one bit!

People normally do not like anything unusual or different. Prepare yourself for a long road. This is not at all a solely American problem. I even think that here it is somewhat alleviated by long experience of co-existence.

The higher education level, the higher tolerance (I bet you'd have much less problem in some university neighborhood).

I think the answer on your question is yes. Some people are already have no any problems with this, some will carry on ignorance and intolerance, and it will take a few generations to change that.

There will be some people that will accept them, because they're not racist bigots, and then there will be those who write hate mail and give you and your boy a hard time. I think they're definitely more accepted than they were years ago, but it's hard to tell.

I remember when I was in college waitressing at a Waffle House, a mixed couple came in. She was white, he was black. They ended up ordering their food to go because there was a guy there harrassing them, and we even told the manager who didn't do anything to make him shut up. I felt so bad, and apologized to the couple, they just said that they were used to it. That was in 1988.

I think it's a shame that people do that kind of stuff... last time I checked, we all bleed the same color!

As for me, I'm a white girl, but I would rather date Latinos than white guys. Latinos sometimes are not treated very well here in the US, so I've also gotten my share of rude remarks.

It's really too bad that people are so stupid and narrow-minded.

Don't worry about what others say about interracial partners.
As long as you love each other that's all that counts. People
talk a lot of ****, they don't have anything else to talk about.
Those are the kind of people you don't want to hang around
with. My Daughter has the same problem people stair at her
and my son-in-law and they don't give a damn what they say.
People look at my grandchildren because when they were first born they looked like her and nothing like him. Their first born
is already 3 and now she resembles her father, she also has
his hair texture. Their other daughter is 7months and people
look at all of them cause she still looks like her mom. But her hair texture is changing. Even my son-in-laws mother had her
doubts. They don't give a rats *** what she thinks. She's white
and his dad is African/American. So that makes my Grandchildren 50% Mexican/American, 25% African American,
25% White. So like I said ignore their ignorance. Give your guy
friend a kiss in front of them as their talking **** and then laugh
in their face. also have a niece that's Mexican American/White,
and a nephew is the same (her Brother), And 2 nephews and 1
niece that is African American/Mexican American. We also
have 1/2 Cherokee/ Mexicans, Filipino/Mexicans,
Mexicans American/irish. Now if they were to see our family
they will be talking for ever. F**K All Racist People.

I have been in an interracial relationship for the last 27 years. there will always be racists everywhere you go. though it is more commonly accepted now. I don't let what other people think or say bother me, as long as they keep there hands to there selves. We are just living our lives like everyone else. don't let the stares and remarks get to you. Give them something to stare at.

Tell them people go screw themselves!! I love interracial relationships (I wanna be in one!) cuz it shows that love can break down any barrier including race! Heidi and Seal are cute together and so are Taye and Indina Menzel. So are David Bowie and Iman!! They know that people hate that they're together but they choose not to let it bother them. So don't let it bother you...as long as you and your man love each other, it'll be alright and you'll get through it! My cousin and his white wife have and they've got two beautiful sons to show for it!! I'm rooting for you two and your friend!! You go gurl!!

I do not have a problem with it. I think it is kinda cool to see the way it is being accepted by seeing it on television and in movies. Did you notice in the TV show lost how there was an interracial couple? That is primetime baby.
Try not to let it interfer with your feeling for eachother, that would be a shame. Be strong, not everyone is against you.

Someday it will be the norm, but that is several hundreds of years down the road. Mixing the two races is something the world is not in a huge hurry to do. Both races will agree on this. But when it does happen and its the norm, disease will be lower and other ailments because we can combine our genes to make a perfect race

human beings are small midned and conservative, my dad is asian and mum is white - counting on the position you stay it truly is going to be frowned upon and stages of popularity variety - i lived in pakistan my total existence with my moms and dads - and god were human beings illiberal - i had such numerous hate assaults for the period of my college years i finished up hating human beings, the total relations very nearly disowned my moms and dads and funilly sufficient. also some human beings experience that interacial marriages are incorrect because then the toddlers are '1/2-castes' and may want to under no circumstances seem to 'discover themsleves' - they're neither one nor the different - atleast it truly is how i changed into continually made to experience about myself - yet on a own element human beings will continually be human beings and that i beleive we are no different because we are all human and could do even with the certainty that makes us chuffed instead of what enables us fit into society - pass to an section it fairly is more effective accepting - interacial relationships in this component to london the position i stay seem a lot more effective tolerated pretty seeing that my college is supposedly conventional for its multi-ethnic and cultural variety - maximum couples aren't from now on of a similar race - Love is blind and knows no race or gender and - so i want you the finest of success on your courting.

I think that is just some people. Some people are just ignorant and have to hate or dislike something they don't truly understand.

I personally have no problem with and have dated guys of a different ethnic background and people don't say anything to me but it depends on the area you are in. But there will always be someone who has something to say that's negative.

As long as the person isn't putting down the men or women of their own ethnic background, i don't see a problem with it.
