personally I like 80's hairband rock n roll. Poison, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Skid Row. Take it from an 80's teen, these are much better then what your starting to like (although there is nothing wrong with it) I liked it too back then....there are some top 80's type cd's at BMGmusic.com with songs exactly like that...Its hard to tell you individual songs...anyway these will have lots of the best of the 80's....which might actually be a cd title...

Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love'.
#1 Favorite all around tune from that era, exempting the best from:

Sting's first solo album, 'Dream of the Blue Turtles'.

Groups:
OMD (Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark)

Pet Shop Boys

These are good but the very best of rock was in the seventies. Go there after you've finished with the eighties.
Happy listening.

Umm suggestions on?.......where to find the songs. You can find those kind of songs in thrift shops on cassette tapes...If that is what you meant. There were a lot of good songs in the 80's.

"Down Under" by Men at Work
"Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats
"Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles

"She Bop" by Cyndi Lauper
"Call Me" or "Heart of Glass" by Blondie
"Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar
"Always Something there to Remind Me" by Naked Eyes
"Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield
"Do You Believe In Love" by Huey Lewis and the News
"Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics
"Vacation" by The Go-Go's
"Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol (although it's more rock than pop)
"Beat It" by Michael Jackson
"Material Girl" and "Like a Virgin" by Madonna
"Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds (from The Breakfast Club)
"Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer
"Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by The Police
"Love My Way" by Psychedelic Furs
