because the Dixie Chicks spoke out against president bush, and a lot of people including Reba McIntire believe this is unpatriotic

I don't know if this has anything to do with Reba McEntire's feelings toward the Chicks, but Natalie Maines (the lead singer of the Chicks) made a comment a while back about being ashamed of being from the same state as the President (GWB). A lot of people got mad at the Chicks after that, but it made me like them better.

Why are all you people so f*c*ing ignorant?! Natalie Maines should be given the Nobel Prize for Peace, and instead you morons ridicule her! She spoke out against the biggest Fascist of our times when she was out of the country--that's the most patriotic thing that someone can do, especially when he/she knows that they may be demonized by the few remaining imbeciles who still think that Bush wasn't a liar and a murderer!! Natalie Maines was speaking out for me and you, you idiots!! And you all should be jailed, along with your murdering, lying president, for the treasonous act of forbidding the freedom of speech!! Ms. McEntire was miffed by the D.C.s option to exercise freedom of speech.
Obviously Ms. McEntire thinks freedom of speech is fine as long as she's the only one allowed to have a voice.
I say send her back to Appalachia or the trailer court, she sure doesn't represent MY America.

I think she was ticked off for the same reason all the other war crazy feakoes were--bc Natalie Maines had to open her mouth and say what she really thought of Bush while overseas.
The whole mentality about supporting the president even though you may not believe in what he's doing. Like, if we don't appear to be confident in our country, why should anyone else? I think that's why anyway...
