There are lots of things you can do (write a letter, talk to her, etc.), but the most important thing you could do is forgive yourself. Your aunt loves you. Accept that you would have done things differently and always remember this when you are with the people that are important to you. But realize that life is too short to live with guilt over a situation you cannot change. Guilt is only good for when you can make things better.

The first two answers were very good advice. The most important thing is to forgive yourself. Your aunt understands. I know that sounds very trite, but I believe it to be true. No matter what your religion, love never dies. And I believe that because you want to be forgiven your aunt has already done that.

write down everything you regret concerning her and your behavior towards her on paper, then set fire to the paper as the paper turns to ash and blows away visualize your guilt blowing away............then forget about it. the best way to honor your aunt is to be the person you're capable of becoming. do something every day of which you can be proud and don't waste time on regret. live your life to the fullest, be happy, destiny awaits embrace it fully.

You can't make amends with the dead and they no longer care anyway, but you can help those people who are living. Give something back....either your time or your money. It'll make you feel better too.

The only way to make amends is not make the same mistakes in the future with other relationships, and to learn from your mistakes.

I hate to tell you this, but you can't make amends to the dead -- they're dead!
The best you can do, I suppose, is think of something that would have pleased your aunt, and do that, not for yourself but for someone else.
It may make your conscience easier.

Talk to your Aunt, as though she is sitting right there with you, tell her that you feel you didnt do enough for her. Then listen, really listen and you will know that she is o.k. with how you behaved.

Try writing her a letter as if you were going to give it to her. You could always bring it to her resting place and read it to her. Forgive yourself and know that she forgives you as well.
All the best...
