They did so well when a pound of coffee became a 13 oz. pound. Then 11 1/2 oz.

Hellmans thinks a quart is only 30 oz.

Ice cream shrank a while ago. Not only is the half gallon size now only 1.75 quarts, they are ALSO whipping more air into it.

God help us all when George Dubya figures out how to make a 100 oz gallon.

Half Gallon = 64 ounces. Read the carton = 56 ounces. Same price for less. Gotcha - American way of cheating the consumer without you figuring out how and why.

I think it's just the shape of the carton that has changes. As for them whipping it, that's a personal question isn't it?

no....they are using the measurement of 1.75 qts. now instead of 2 qts. (1/2 gallon) another rip-off method.....
