It's the democratic way. Might makes right.

America has more international economic power and more willingness to use substantial military power than any other single nation. So, America gets involved where it thinks it should.

Some might argue that this is just another form of grandstanding and bully tactics, where the US is just forcing people to go its way. Others would argue that the US has a moral obligation to fight the forces of evil, and if that requires toppling tyrannical dictators, so be it.

But regardless of whether and how it's justified, the answer is because we can. And because those in political power are more concerned with accomplishing their own political agendas than with helping the people who elected them.

You think its rough now? Wait and see how things here go if we let the rest of the world go to crap. With the international nature of our economy we can't afford to not intervene....same as Europe and Russia and Asia...everyone does it.

doesn't it make you feel safe in your home, knowing that thousands of miles and thousands of years of history away, we are pushing our version of "right and wrong" upon nations that r fully capable of governing itself and living in peace before we (America) decided to stick our nose in or using Israel to do so,
and lets face it, it is not our job to replace nasty governments or support crazy regimes.....using our tax dollars and the lives of our gi's........hell, i think bush and company are thugs, will someone call for regime change?
