No, there is absolutely NO bug, unless its a parasitic organism that eats your brain. There has been one case where bot fly eggs made it up to the brain of a woman and began to eat at it. Fortunately they were removed and with no permanent damage to her brain. This is EXTREMELY rare because (A) Bot flies live in tropical regions, and only find their way into your body if you lay on the forest floor and (B) There is like, 1/100,000,000 chance that a bot fly larvae will actually make it to your brain. So, don't worry about bugs eating your brain:)

Earwig In Ear

Um... no. But baby spiders can set up shop in your ear. Don't worry about a thing though. When spiders don't catch anything, the move on.

Anyway, earwigs are bloody annoying little insects that kind of look like a cross between a scorpion and a cockroach, only FAR smaller. They're disgusting and should be squished AND SCRAPED immediately. I'm serious, if you don't scrape the little bugger will come back; they've got lots of armour. They cause damage to wood, and live in cool moist places. Like rotting wood.

LOL. Your ears are like a shell. The canal spirals all the way down until your ear drum. Your ear drum is like cartilage tissue and it seals your inner ear. The whole thing about earwigs is a myth from ancient times. I believe that people use to wake up with earwigs lying under their ears, and I would presume that's because your ear is moist and they love humid habitats. They pinch but it doens't hurt that bad, and they don't eat with their claws either.

Earwigs, ants, nor any other bugs for that matter could ever go into a person's brain through their ear. There is simply too much bone involved; no insect can eat through bone--nor would it want to, at that. Although insect infestations do occur in humans, they are largely be accident, not on purpose. In short, there is nothing in your ear (or your brain) that insects want or need.

Now, if we are talking parasites...

Um...no. *lol*

"Earwig is the common name given to the insect order Dermaptera characterized by membranous wings folded underneath short leathery forewings (hence the literal name of the order - "skin wings"). The abdomen extends well beyond the wings, and frequently, though not always, ends in a pair of forceps-like cerci. With about 1,800 recorded species in 10 families, the order is relatively small among Insecta. Earwigs are, however, quite common globally. There is no evidence that they transmit disease or otherwise harm humans or other animals, despite their nick-name, Pincher bug."

If you jam peanuts and Skittles and other stuff in there, he'll eat that before he gets to the brain. Just befriend him with treats, and your brain will be safe.
