I'm just curious to know if you've done this before. For instance, let's say I buy a towel from a towel store. I go to my house, take a bath, and dry myself with the towel. Let's say I dry the towel and put it back into the packaging (okay, maybe there isn't packaging), and I return it to the store for a full refund. I never did that, but I said it for an example. Thanks.
Do you think such behavior is cheap? Or do you think such behavior is justified? Should it be allowed for a full refund? Or should it not? Please give reasons for whether or not doing this is good. Also say if you've done it before.

Yes! That's right: it's a matter of being able to live with yourself.

The behavior of using an item and returning it for no reason other than to return it is nothing less than stealing.

To use an item, find a defect, (an honest defect!), return it for an exchange or return it for a refund, now this is honest.

Treat others, as you would want them to treat you. Bottom Line. Period. Whether you're as poor as living in a tin shak on a garbage dump or living in Trump Towers.

I can live with myself, can you?

If product is unsatisfactory or is not as-advertised, you may return it without guilt. Thin cheap towels, by the way, dry you much quicker and easier than thick plush towels. Ever notice how cheap and thin motel/hotel towels are so great at getting you dry very fast? When getting a refund, you should feel obligated, however, to spend the same dollars at the same store for a different item.

For something as...personal...as a towel, that's kind of disgusting. But I've returned foundation that didn't look right when I put it on, and once I returned a tool kit after my brother broke the latch on one of the bit containers. It may not be completely justified, but then again the stores can write it off anyway, so they're not being hurt, and I'm not wasting my money.

Something like using and returning a towel? I wouldn't want to be
the one that buys the towel after you return it. i don't think you are
justified in doing that. A towel doesn't cost that much that you would need to return it. I did return a toaster oven because it didn't work when I got it home, but I just exchanged it for another one( different brand).

No, I've never done that. I consider it a form of stealing because the manager will either have to mark the used item down and/or the next person to buy it is not really getting what they pay for. I have heard of people doing that with clothing, even underwear though, and it grosses me out.

I've known people who have. It is akin to stealing though because the retailer can not resell the item. It is a totally different matter though if the product does not work when one tries to use it. Then the retailer should take the return.

That would be kinda gross to use something like a towel then return it.Cause some stores could like not wash returned clothes.I have returned stuff ,But it is because its broken.Like I returned a dead goldfish because it died the next day for no reason.

I think you shouldnt do that because eit is wrong. It would just be like if someone bought a piece of candy from you and ate half of it and put it back onto the package and returned it to you......you wouldnt really like it back would you......same with the towel...why would they want it back if it has you germs on it....what if you havwe lice and dont know it....they will be selling it to someone else....you really need to look at it your way...ya know....if it was happening to you....you wouldnt want that candy back would you?
