Well, if the earth has had at least two ice ages where a majority of the world was covered in ice, then the average global temperature had to drop then rise again, then drop, then rise again. Seems like a pattern to me. So yes, I believe in global warming. Do I believe that humans are the cause? NO. I do believe that humans may have a very small part in it. but I do know that A volcano can release more greenhouse gases in a day than half the US in a year. I honestly beleive that global warming is a natural phenomenon and there is no way that humans, can or should stop it. It will go the opposite direction eventually, then the earth will freeze over again.

This is not a question faith. This not religion, whether we "believe" in global warming or not.

Do you "believe" that the moon is not made of cheese?
Do you "believe" that the earth is flat?
Do you "believe" that the speed of light is 670,616,629.384 miles per hour?

Unfortunately, you don't have a choice. Just like how you accept these facts FROM SCIENCE, why won't you simply accept that the globe is getting warmer?

You either believe science or not. You can't choose to accept some things and not others.

If you won't "believe" in global warming, then you must also believe that the earth is flat...unless you have measured it yourself. You must also believe the speed of light to be different, whatever value YOU measured it at. You must also believe that the moon is made out of cheese unless you have been there yourself.

Science says yes, the globe is getting warmer. All of you who answered at the top, yes it does happen naturally BUT we humans are accelerating it this time. It is or rather was a balanced cycle and congratulations, it is one more than thing we have managed to ruin.

In the question of believing, I have systematically seen summers getting hotter and hotter every year, so YES I DO BELIEVE IN IT as I am sitting now and getting boiled at 122F, yes I do believe in it.

Natural global warming is not something that happens within a hundred years. It is not supposed to be process which boils entire lakes which existed only forty years ago and it is certainly not supposed to be melting glaciers and raising sea levels at the rate it is doing so.

Somewhat I do but mostly I don't. But I also believe that the earth maybe going through a natural cycle which happens at a certain time period. We may very much be in that type of period. For example, in many places around the world; record breaking heat has become a galore and has affected places which never experienced the hot weather before. New record high temperatures shatter those that were set 50-100+ years ago. Severe weather has also become a major issue in some places. However, these natural outcomes may be a type of process that the earth goes through every 50-100, 50-200 years? Or it may explain that the earth is still "healing" or growing and that may be triggering these types of weather patterns. We may never be able to know for sure what /if anything is happening but it may just be a normal and natural process of the weather.

Yes, global warming and cooling have been going on for a millenia. Geological surveys are an important tool in recording and modeling past, present and future weather. To directly blame global warming on oil and fossil fuel consumption is in my best opinion, rash. These are cycles that have been happening since the beginning of the earth.... I don't know anyone who was there, so let's not jump to conclusions about green house gasses. I agree we should still strive to find alternative energy and properly steward our resources for future generations.

Of course. This is not the first time global warming has taken place, and although there are steps we can take to slow it, it is a part of the natural process of the earth and can not be stopped.

Yes but it is not the end of the world.

The Earth has been warmer than now for most of its history, so warming is actually just going back to "normal".

Technically, we are still living during an ice age, it is just a warm period during an otherwise cooler epoch.

I also believe the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West...there is nothing to debate.

The simple idea that man has created global warming through the expulsion of "greenhouse gases" is patently absurd. One volcano eruption, of which there have been many already in your lifetime, spew out more carbon monoxide, sulfur and chlorinated compounds than man has ever thought about producing since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

The very idea is retarded, at best.

I believe that there is evidence that the over all the average temperature has risen globally but no one can really be sure WHY.
Or if it will continue. With the glaciers melting and the permafrost in the Arctic melting SOMETHING is happening but it may be part of the long term weather cycle but then nobody really knows.

The evidence suggests that there is a phenomenon of global warming.
