I do not see any option to clear search.

excuse me, please, I do not see a "clear private data" or "clear web search" options.
any other suggestions? thanks.

tools/options/privicy and click clear web history

right click in the browser search bar, choose clear search history

Tools > Clear private data.
It should default to passwords and cookies unchecked.
