They're all correct! Scarey, isn't it? But, your terms are incorrect, byte defines 8 bits. Media are defined in bits!
(Gee whiz info= 4 bits is a 'nibble'!) A byte was a full computer 'word' of 8 bits, that defined an ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) character.
It depends upon if you want the truth or the advertised size!
42.7 Gigabits (not Gigabytes!) is still huge!
Actually, there are lawsuits over this, against the drive manufacturers! For, 'false advertising'!

To convert bytes (b) to megabytes (MB), the simple way is to divide the bytes by 1 million.
Scientifically, 1MB is actually 1,048,576 bytes, so 44779989 b is about 42MB
Hope this helps.

44779989 bytes = 43730.45 KB = 42.7 MB = 0.0417 GB
Since
1 GigaByte (GB) = 1024 MegaBytes (MB)
1 MegaByte (MB) = 1024 KiloBytes (KB)
1 KiloByte = 1024 Bytes

Move the decimal three places to the right, so basically add 3 zeros on the end of that number. Or maybe it's the other way...sorry.
