i have a 10 year old son and ive been catching him rubbing himself. he is not masturbating just rubbing over his clothes.is he normal. because i thought he is still too young to be going through puberty

It is perfectly normal for your son to be rubbing himself. He has discovered the good feelings in his penis. 10 is pretty much the age when sexual exploration begins. Now is a good time to have a talk with your son about masturbation and how it is okay and how his body is going to change etc. You need to emphasize that sexual play with oneself is private and personal.

I started puberty around 8 or 9 so he's normal. If you havent given him the "talk" or the "why is it doing that?" explanation then maybe you should. You could go to your local doctor's office to get pamflits on how to explain it.
Hmmm... because you see him doing it and you havent asked him what he's doing that means he thinks he is hiding it. So maybe "accidentaly" stumble on him rubbing himself and then talk to him about it. It would be good to take care of this before school starts again. If he's not in school.

Sure is! I wouldn't make a big deal about it unless he's doing it in public. Next time he does it though politely ask him if it itches down there, if he says no then explain to him that it's not polite to rub down there unless he's in the bathroom or his room. If he says it does take him to the doc he could have a urinary tract infection.

I would say he is normal because I have a nephew who started rubbing the moment he found out he had a penis.

Yes, perfectly normal. Don't make a big deal out of it or it will become a big deal. If you see him doing that just ignore it or tell him honestly that you would prefer him not to do that in front of you.

You should let him know that he should not be doing this, or he should at least do it in private and wash his hands thoroughly after. He's a bit young, but it's normal.

I had developed breat and got my period at 9 so its not too early just call your local doctor and talk to them

I had breasts and my period by 11. He's not too young. Kids are well aware of their bodies very early.
