I believe there is... but not necessarily 'heaven' or 'hell'.
When I was very young (5 or 6), a relative died and in a pensive moment I asked God what death is like. In an instant I was looking down on myself. There was no bodily sensation and the perspective of 8 or 10 feet above and to the left of myself was frightening. When I felt the fright, I was instantly back in my body. I thanked God and went out to play.
I have always believed this was a direct and clear answer to my question and have never doubted that consciousness continues beyond physical death because of this.

I believe there is life after death, it's called reincarnation...not necessarily heaven or hell, but I think people come back as someone or something else after they die

Depends on religion. If there is life after death though we would be alive forever, techiniquilly, and we all know that isnt possible yet.

Well that depends on your religion. If you are atheist then no, but Christians believe so and so do people of other religions but I don't know for sure. You can't exactly ask a dead person now can you?

Look at Congress and you will see that, sometimes, there isn't even life BEFORE death.
