nope

but it's just a question of degree. Sexuality is a continuum from 100% homosexual to 100% heterosexual. Each person's sexuality occupies some bit of space on that line. Some people's range is quite broad. Others not.

Absolutely NOT! Some men may have more feminine qualities and some women may have manly qualities. But even this does not make them bi or gay. Society has made is the norm to be bi. It is not the norm and never has been. Pick up your bible and read about Sodom and Gomorrah. They decided to practice homosexuality and were turned to pillars of salt.
When I was a teenager, being bi was not cool. It is looked at as cool now. I know quite a few teenagers who have experimented and they have lost friends and now regret what they have done.

I would guess that a solid 80% of people are bisexual to one degree or another, with 10% purely straight, and 10% purely gay.

Whether one acts one's bisexual inclinations is an entirely different matter.

Want to find out where you fall on the spectrum? Dr. Robert Epstein's (Harvard, editor-chief Psychology Today) theory is that people are not necessarily fully straight or fully gay, that they could be somewhere between. His test (ESOI) is online. You can take to determine where are you on this spectrum at:
http://drrobertepstein.com/esoi/

I don't know how much faith to put in this particular test, because I think it is too simple and short. But I DO believe wholeheartedly that there is a sexual continuum, and most people simply will not talk about it.

Gray areas are very hard for a lot of people to deal with. Black and white, good and evil, straight and gay, are much more manageable for most people... even though all of them are oversimplifications of reality.

By the way, I am quite sure I'm lesbian, but on the test, got these results:
Your Mean Sexual Orientation is 9
Your Sexual Orientation Range is 6

I think people who claim to be "bi" are just playing the fence. They know they are straight but they are so confused by our culture that they think just because they identify someone of the same sex as pretty or attractive means that they want to be intimate with them. It's moronic. I think everyone could be "bi" if they wanted to. When someone tells me they are "bi". I think they are just confused but straight.

No, more's the pity :). There is a range of sexuality ranging from the straightest straight to the gayest gay. "True" bisexuals are somewhere in the middle of that range, other "bisexuals" are just curious or lean towards one gender preference over another.

This is why, there is so much confusion over the term bisexual and people, like oremus_fratres, say we don't exist or, alternatively, consider that we all are - to some extent - like norman7774.

That's why I dislike the use of three labels (or four, if you count "bi-curious") to describe sexual orientation and why Water_Goddess has it so right when she writes, "Love is love".

I don't think anyone of us can really answer that question. I don't believe all people are bi, but I do think that all people could sleep with someone not within their sexual orientation at least once.
A lot of people feel the need to (for lack of a better word) 'Experiment' before they settle into their sexuality.

the world would be a better place don't you think? I believe I am bi but prefer a man. I just can't put a hold on who I will love - that's not fair to all those out there. Love will take you crazy place.

There used to be theories that everyone was born bisexual and their sexual orientation would be shaped in childhood - however, science is now leaning towards biological factors in sexual orientation.

I personally believe that there are far more bisexuals than advertised. This is because sexuality is on a continuum, and there are many people who aren't exclusively gay or straight.

Bisexuality is invisible in mainstream society, and some bisexuals who are leaning towards homosexuality or heterosexuality may identify as gay or straight in order to gain acceptance. Homophobia in the straight community, and biphobia within the gay community makes it difficult for people to come out as bisexual.

I believe everyone is pan sexual. That means they can direct their sexuality toward anyone, animal, or object.

This does not mean that one should engage in every type of activity simply because they can.

We can mute our sexual association by ceasing to focus our sexual energy in certain areas, & amp up this very same energy via self-encouragement & focus, on the functional subset.

I'm sure there is as one poster put it, a "continuum with varying degrees of preference". Though this may be true to some extent, you can increase or decrease such preferences by continuing to make certain choices over and over again, thus ingraining the desirable pattern.

Nope. There are straight, bisexual, lesbian, and gay people. You are born that way. Love is love. People are people. It's much more important to be a good person then to care who is what. It's just a label anyways.

To reply to the person who posted before, bisexuals are not confused, That's a myth. Unless you think you are confused about who you are attracted to. Don't be a hypocrite.
