It is called Arms Trade!
Have you ever seen the movie "Lord of War"?
This movie gives you a little taste as to what governments actually do behind the backs of their citizens!
If you have arms, and you are at peace, obviously you are going to sell those arms to the highest bidders!
Why?
One - Business!!! It (everything) is ALWAYS about business!
Two - Who needs arms when your country is at peace!?!
Three - If you provide unstable countries with weapons, you are in-effect, keeping that country from healing itself! This is what you might call, “Passive International Politics"! That is why Africa is in such an uproar! People have guns and they are going to use them!
That is why America and the European Nations are doing so well! Our nations are not in turmoil and our people do not feel a need to have to protect themselves day and night. Also, our populations are not saturated with arms. Now compound an arms saturated country with drugs, hunger and disease...you have one mean concoction. It is a situation so out of control and impossible to stop (a bullet-train) that people from all over the world take advantage of it! Kind of like animals! If you smell the blood of the Alpha Male, you are going to take him out while you have the chance. Why? Because he is stronger then you and has control over most everyone in the pack. Or like a shark, if you smell the blood of a dieing sea animal, you are going to strike! Why? Because it's there and vulnerable - an easy target! Imagine a hungry vulture or a colony of ants - Why? Why do they consume the dead or dieing!?! They are hunger and it is there!
By providing arms to less fortunate countries, you are keeping them in a state of confusion and chaos, which in turn does not allow for democracy or peace. What good is peace to an arms dealer!?! There is one benefit! SALE!!! If there is peace, then there is a chance to sell unused arms to others, and for others to stockpile their arms for some other day of havoc.
There is no one person or one government to blame for this! Everyone is to blame through action and/or inaction. But there will always be arms trade. Business is alive and well in the world and politics will never solve chaos! Politics is only what it presents itself to it’s people. It is the forefront for everything else. There is politics and then there is business behind the politics. Politics is an illusion created to keep people content and happy! If a society is content and happy, they don’t see the real truth. The truth behind the illusion.
I would say, politics in a necessary evil! Something that is truly needed to keep the masses content. Peace is good, but where there is peace, there will always be war and discontent. The infamous, timeless, and eternal war-machine was made, designed, and masterminded by humans. And as long as there are humans on this earth, there will always be war and chaos!
“You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”

Its because Americans are in the hands of Isrealis and that nation on the other side of the world controls US senate, media and economy....dont believe....its not me Senate's foreign relations committee chairman said so(Quote)
"United States have allowed a terrorist foreign nation to control
the United States Government. Some readers might think it preposterous for me to assert that that a foreign nation controls America. But, consider the fact that the former head of the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee, William Fulbright, said precisely that. He asserted on ABC-s Face the Nation television program that ?Israel Controls the United States Senate.(1) And, Senator Fulbright was no dummy; it is in his name that the brightest students scramble after the so-named ?Fulbright scholarships. Not only did Senator Fulbright make this powerful indictment, but the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, George Brown, as well as many others, have said essentially the same thing.
We can say we can't possibly get the Congress to support a (Israeli) program like this. And they say don't worry about the Congress. We will take care of the Congress. This is somebody from another country, but they can do it. They own, you know, the banks in this country, the newspapers. Just look at where the Jewish money is. ? (2)(General George S. Brown, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff)
Of course, General Brown actually understated the Jewish control of the American media. It is true that they control the most influential newspapers in America, including the top three: The New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. They also own the top three newsmagazines Time, Newsweek and U.S. News and World Report. But, even more importantly, they thoroughly dominate the television and broadcast media, the two largest media conglomerates being Time-Warner and Disney, and their domination includes the network news executives of the main three networks: ABC, CBS and NBC. Control of the media by pro-Israeli partisans is another subject for another time; but if you would like complete documentation, please go to my website www.davidduke.com and pull up a chapter from My Awakening called ?Who Runs the Media. The extreme pro-Israeli partisanship of the media is why most Americans are woefully ignorant of Israel-s terrorist record. All this article needs to do is apply just a tiny pinprick into the balloon of Israeli propaganda, for it will take only a few good jabs to burst the balloon of lies surrounding Israel." (Unquote)

I have a better question...why are teenagers questioning their country's foreign policy. I don't have a problem with questioning your government, but do some research first, and I'm not sure what country you're talking about, so I think someone heard a friend say something about the news, and that someone asked a question on yahoo assuming what his friend said was fact....just my thoughts. How about instead of questioning your government, you support the people who are fighting this war that you're so obviously against, since a lot of the war fighters don't want to be there in the first place.

Yeah. America has done a lot of mistake, especially in the cold war time. They armed Taliban to fight Uni Soviet in Afghanistan, etc.
They said democracy, but they support dictators like late president Soeharyo in Indonesia because he help America to stop and massacred a lot of people who joint and only suspected to joint Communist Party.
They said about democracy, but you can see what happen in Iraq, every day their always a suicide bomb, every single day.
They always do something that they think can bring advantages to them. They always use democracy as their shield. I think they don't really care about another nations as long as they don't bring potential harm to them.

You know, we've done this all the time.
The last time I can think of is when we armed Al-Qaida to fight off the Russians. What a mistake that turned out to be!!!!
