I feel that there should be a spot for "American", my ancestors came to this country over 250 years ago, I think that it is about time that we accept America as our home.

I asked a similar question a while ago. many of my colleagues also agree that "american" should be classified as separate ethnic group because it does seem distinct.
(in my experience, yahoo! respondents do not agree)
