Ah = everyone goes through this at some point or another. Sometimes its cos you're a bit different at school - not into the things others are into. Or maybe you get to college/university and feel like a small fish in a big pond after having a close knit circle of friends at school. Or maybe it comes once you lose those socil networks and get into the big world of work and move into your own place. Or maybe when you get older and your life changes or all your mates settle down and you don't.

However in all of these situations you can change your lonliness. It isn't that no-one likes you. Its just that the people in your life don't share your viewpoint at the moment. A few years ago I felt like that and took up a new hobby, one of my new friends once said to me 'I spent years feeling like an outsider and now here I am really popular with loads of friends and a beautiful girlfriend'. The same can happen to you. Whatever your interest - however strange it might seem there are people out there who share it - be it musicals or computer games or naked bike riding - the internet is a marvellous thing - find a chat room about your interest and in a year's time i guarantee you'll be having a marvellous time!

I like you. Your great. You just have a temporary low self esteem, because some people mis understand you. You may mistake thier shortness with you, as not liking you, when they may feel unsure about you, as a clever, perhaps even "quick" intelect, initially wary of you. This is natural. Its hard to be confident, without sometimes seeming over bearing, to people who are'nt as "deep" as you. Be patient , people will see what a genuine, person you are. Taking the time to ask the question on Yahoo answers, only shows what a caring person you are, taking consideration of the feelings of the people around you, how you may be affecting them. Well done, an excellent question, and just goes to show what a good salt you are.

Well...you should get a life in order for that to occur..not in a mean way! Just that don't try to make people pity you to get someone to talk to...join a few classes, call people and ask how they're doing..even if they hang up on you, they'll know you're a nice guy...get one friend at a time and not try to grab the attention of a crowd..

Which way? Girlfriend or a group of friends? Girlfriend is probually because (I'm not saying you are) nobody likes a jerk and likes someone with confidence. Group of friends is the same way. They want someone who wants to get out of the house and not play video games all day. Good luck!

First, ask yourself, do you like you??
Why should anyone else like you if you don't even like yourself??
And if you do like yourself, go out there and explore with the billions of other people that are out there in the world. You have to have some good qualities that will draw people towards you. Just remember, nobody will like you if you don't like you first.

depends what type of like you mean. if you mean why does no-one like you as a friend, you may need to be more friendly, smile more, make people feel comfortable around you.
If you think no-one likes you, as in, fancy you, it could be because you have low self-confidence. be proud of who you are! stand up tall and be confident, you can't change yourself, so if people don't like you for who you are, they can kiss your foot. be confident, but not cocky, you are what you are. once you know yourself, then other people can know you, and maybe even...like you. so come on, head up, stand tall, practise your smiles!
aw by the way, i like you! nikz x

my little brother has the same situation going on with him. he doesn't have any real good friends. part of the problem with him is that he's so disagreeable and argue's with everyone. not saying you do! try talking to people with similar interests as you or joining a club where you can meet people who you can relate to. that's step one and it only goes up from there! I know you can do it!!
