I would draw a woman giving birth, with all the pain in her face. But the love between she and her husband is shown in how she holds onto him, and how he looks at her in amazement. Her love for her child is in all the pain she endures... while giving birth, and for the rest of his life.
Her ability to withstand this pain for the sake of her family is love. Likewise, the ability of a man to sacrifice for his family is his greatest and most steady demonstration of love.
People endure pains in life for loved ones because they have hope. *Hope* is only the thing that keeps love and pain bound together. And so, there is your answer...

The pain that all things you love on this earth are only here temperarily... I'd have to think about that one for a while. The painting would need to be more specific I guess for me. It would look sad, the character (if there was one) would need to appear to understand that love and pain often come together. ??

Well I suppose that's what EMO is about. Lot's of people draw "EMO" drawings. Classic EMO pictures/paintings/drawings are of a heart with a kife through it or something like that. That's what I would draw becuase it represents it perfectly. A red heart with a black background. The heart would have a knife in it representing the pain of love, and love comes from that heart.

Love and Pain are one and the same. While it is possible to paint the expressions of such a thing, it is impossible to paint the actual thing itself. I'll stick to living it.

A newly pregnant mother, having to choose between losing her life so the baby might live, or having an abortion but saving her own life.
To me that's the epitome of love and pain.

a lot of colors, no longer purely black and white, yet formidable shiny colors, blurred in places, and sparkling as glass in others. Love and discomfort are such torrid thoughts that they blend and combine at the same time from time to time, and puzzling to tell apart. existence is a blend of both - so my portray can be a blend.

it would be a two color skemes that mesh together. one colors w/ blue/pink/yellow hues and the other red/black hues. the bpy one would be soft, flowing across the page as the rb would splater its mark on the edges and sharp shapes jab into the rest of the page. the intertwining colors would represent the relation between the two
