psychological deficit ? Did they just listen to the wrong song? True some of her songs are revolting . . . .as with a lot of artists, . . . but the ones that are good . . .are OUT OF THIS WORLD . . . . If someone really doesn't like Bjork . . . what is different about them . . .what are they missing in their head or emotions . . .what went wrong with them ? Are they afraid of their own emotions? Are they missing half their brain ? I am serious. I just want to understand . . but I don't want to understand firsthand . . .I am thrilled that I have the capacity to enjoy her . . . and worry for those that don't. She blows my mind.

I reported Hectortuba . . . he is obviously not a Bjork fan. And his lashing out and disturbing other questions in his QA list profile demonstrates exactly what I suspected . . . intellectual or emotional deficit or fear of experiencing emotions . . .there is something wrong. I think that this will be my litmus test for all that I come in contact with . . .if they don't like Bjork then I will stay away from them just in case.

Hectortuba, I wasn't talking about YOU specifically. I don't even know you. I'm sorry for whatever experience(s) you may have had that have made you decide to abandon all allegiance to the truth in pursuit of power. We all feel powerless sometimes . . . and it is no shame to look for power inside through contemplation or just considerate communing . . . if you don't feel it . . .excercise first . . .this will release some natural good feelings that can 'jump-start' any endeavor.

It's just personal taste -- Bjork is my favorite musician, and I understand that most people I know are just not into her music / style / expression -- it clicks with me and that's what is unique about each of us.
So there is no emotional or mental problem with anyone that does not like her, but definately an emotional/mental leaning for those that do and that can help you discriminate among the type of people you are also likely to click with -- though I have to say as a corporate exec and mom I am not the typical Bjork fan anyway....
Don't worry so much about what the deal is with other people -- appreciate everyone for their unique qualities. Love the country, rap, rock, ska, classical, punk, jazz, beat, blues, hip-hop, latin, techno, pop lovers for the passion they have about the music they love...
I think that is one of the qualities that I love most about Bjork: how curious / exploratory / accepting of the deep beauty in any creature / expereince and I think she would love all of these other music styles and have no qualm about anyone who did not list her as their absolute favorite....
so take cue from your absolute favorite and enjoy..... because music and life truly is not meant to be a strife or struggle! :)

Well, Björk's music is complicated, it isn't only one type of music, but a lot of types of music combined into one. Some people don't like her because they are not used to that and because some find her style really odd.

you like what you like, others like what they like, and sometimes the two coincide
there isn't any deep-meaning-of-life aspect to this concept ... to find one is a contrivance only someone in academia could appreciate (and might get a gov't grant for)

I think we have taste. Seriously.
Her little shrieks and screams are *really* annoying. She sounds like a weird animal in heat.
Her attitude turns me off as well.
Not to mention her "Everyting ees muzikal!" opinions.
