My Cobalt Blue sheds every October, it takes about three hours and he won't eat for two weeks before and about three weeks after.

Do not mess with the tarantula, moulting is a very stressful time for the spider. After it moults, leave the skin in the tank and do not offer food for atleast 2 weeks. You can very carefully not to disturb the spider give it water. The slightest interuption can cause the tarantula to die.

I'm not sure if it is consistent with all tarantulas. But my Chillean Rose Hair sheds its outer skin twice a year, around beginning of Fall and beginning of Spring. And when it happens, it's in a course of half a day.

like a day or so. if it turns over on it's back, LEAVE IT ALONE! it's much easier for them this way.
