The Walton family. They are the wealthiest family in the entire world and btw, they own Wal-mart. I've watched a few stories that Frontline did on them. They have single-handedily been responsible for the destruction of trade tariffs between us and China.
They also do not obide by the monopoly laws that state you have to let the free market dictate the price you will pay a distributor of an item you sell. They actually dictate what price they will buy at because no company can afford not to sell at Walmart. They single-handedily put rubbermaid out of business this way.
They also own a large portion of the global market around the world... Walmart is just a small piece of their pie.
Oil companies would be a close second.

I can believe anyone would really think anyone is pulling the strings. I used to think that some group might do that. But after actually sitting in on a corporate staff meeting, most organizations can't really run themselves. I don't think there is any person or group up to the task.
Name any organization that completely controls all its members, much less the "world". The U.S. military is a highly structured organization, yet we still have a few bad actors running amuk.
I think its more of a phyicological question why do we want to believe we are pawns in somebody's game. I think it allows us to shift the blame for some of our own problems over to some secret society.

Probably the people running the FED - US Federal Reserve Bank, which is privately owned and led.
Kennedy was murdered as he wanted to nationalize the institution - the first action of his successor was to cancel this demand...
