Ok I'm really really smart in school but I'm not completely a geek. I'm athletic and all and I have cool friends. My friends think that just because i'm right all the time that I HAVE to be right ALL the time. So if I'm right and they think I'm wrong they're like "its ok to be wrong, Tori" and I hate that so I try not to argue with them so much. Its hard not to argue sometimes because they just don't get it. I have one or two friends who actually get where I'm comin from. Sometimes i feel like discarding all the others from being my friend but i can't cuz they're so much fun and I love 'em. So how can i break my title of being class know-it-all. I definitely don't wanna become dumb to be cool.Thats stupid! SO HELP

I'd say you are the "class know it all" since you are justifying your position before you ask for help. Sometimes, Tori, it's not about being "right"....do you have to be 'right' all of the time? That's intimidating to some people even if you are right. You're going to find yourself with just a friend or two and everyone else thinking your just a smart-as$. So what...other people can be wrong if they want to be. You can just keep you mouth shut sometimes and show a softer side; that will win friends and influence others in a mature way. Let someone else be "right" for a change: "Hey, Jane, that's a great idea! Wish I would have thought of that!"...."You know, Jill was right about that... !" "Joy, I love that top on you! The colors make your eyes look so pretty!" People love honest compliments! They are free and they make a lasting impression; not to mention how wonderful they make you feel passing them around. Practice it...and see what happens. Use all of that aggresiveness somewhere that will count...like debate team! Good luck!

Just be yourself, trite but true. So, don't give up on those ones, that are dumb but fun, just act accordingly to who you are with.
With those that appreciate that you are often if not always right. go with that.
With those that don't get you, that way, don't argue with them, it gets you nowhere anyway. State your opinion, but dont argue the point. Later on, they will find out for themselves, you were right. But don't expect them to tell you that.
Soon enough, you will lose that title, that you don't care for.
In class, wait a bit before you stick up your hand to answer, even though you know it. give someone else time to answer it. That way, someone else, may come up with the answer, a bit slower than you, but often with the right answer.
You can prove yourself, when it comes to the exams at the end of school year.

sometimes you have to let them be wrong, its their right to blow it. it is also your right to be who you are. maybe its not that they think you have to be right, maybe they are just tired of being wrong. how would your friends act if the opposet were true. you were a goof, never got anything right. would they still be your friends? odds are they wouldnt. be yourself. noone who wants you to not be yourself is really your friend, cus they dont want you, they want someone sorta like you, but not you. be yourself, its worth it
