Well, Phil Rogers of the Trib mentioned that Hendry might be working on a trade involving A Ram for either Tejada or A Rod of the Yankees.

I like young Murton, but it would be interesting to see Carlos Lee in LF next year.

They need at least 2 starting pitchers right now (to go with an 07 rotation of Z, Marshall and Marmol), and a quality RBI bat. Lee will be much better next year, but we can't afford to have Ramirez take the first 2 1/2 months off again. Furthermore, the defense sucks in places. Second base is a black hole. Barrett (who I like) has been a butcher this year.

I could see trading Ramirez for Chavez of Oakland, and signing Carlos Lee. That would give you some good left/right balance.

It's weird. There is some talent there, but there are holes as well. Julio Lugo would be a good second place hitter

Hendry has his work cut out for him, that's for sure.

I'd Like To See Wood,Prior And Some Minors for A REAL Pitching Staff Maybe Like The Little League WS Champion Pitchers Because The Cubs Pitching Staff Is A Complete Joke (Besides Zambrano) Wood Cant Stay Healthy For The Life Of Him Prior Is The Same Marmol Is Ok But Not Consistant Mad Dog Is Still My Favorite Player Even Though He Is Starting His Downward Spiral,And Marshall Is Solid BUT He Needs More AAA Time. But Really We Need To Trade Prior And Wood And Fast!!!!And We Need Maddux If We Have MADDUX ZAMBRANO MARSHALL and two Decent Starters We Could Possible Almost Come Back!!! Yeah I Know People In my Dreams!!!

convinced, Castros fielding is suspect yet he's completely 24 and as others have suggested i recognize he hasnt more advantageous a lot...yet he's a helpful hitter, the protection will are available in time. Baez will likely be moved to 0.33 even as he's finally observed as up, vitters has performed catcher, and likewise can play the outfield, with gamers interior the minors which includes Soler, Almora, Baez, etc issues will be looking up for the cubs in many years

Well.. if it is usualy Cubs trades.. I say they should trade away everyone good for rookies that probably won't be in the system long, and if they DO stay in the system and become stars.. the Cubs should trade them away also. Just the sad way it is for the Cubbies.
