Be careful not to have your intentions misinterpeted. If you are doing it out of the kindness of your heart and you really like her, make sure you include a note with the gift. I have seen it too many time when the girlfriend or boyfriend makes friends with the others parents and when problems occure, the parents are pulled into the mess.
Do it for the right reasons and not for selfish reasons.
