I think that how you should tell her has a lot to do with why you are telling her. If you are telling her as a professional, because his behavior was not businesslike, you should assume a very businesslike attitude about it - let her know that you weren't comfortable with it, that you don't want it to happen again, and that you know it's an extremely personal matter but you felt it was relevant to your work life. Or, if you are telling her as a concerned friend, you can be gentle and sympathetic. I think in general, however, you need to emphasize that his behavior was inappropriate and you didn't like it, and you don't want it to happen again.

Notably, she can't legally fire you for her husband's behavior, and new laws usually prohibit a boss unfairly punishing an employee for making a sexual harassment complaint. You have the right to be treated properly without fearing the loss of your job. If you think his behavior could recur or shouldn't go uncommented, you can speak up - respectfully.

I don't think that you should. Unless, he is also employed by the same company? I would hate to see you fired because of telling your boss about her husband's behavior. Just avoid the man at any other company parties.

What was the situation and what kind of advance did he make? Did it involve touching or just talking, in the case of talking, definately not. Do you see this person on a regular basis and is it worth loosing your job over?

I'm not sure if you do, and if you do it should be more about exposing the husbands flirtatious tendencies than his specific feelings towards you because he probably does it a lot.

You don't if you want to keep your job. She more than likely isn't going to get rid of him. You, however, are probably expendable as well as a constant reminder of her husband's attempt at infidelity.

they usually side with their husbands...say you made it up because you're jealous....etc...difficult being it's your boss...it also depends on what kind of move he made...it might have been innocent..or very sexual...so i'm not sure what to tell you..if you want to tell her in a humorous way...tell her that her husband wants to show her his roman candle...providing she has a sense of humour..
