and how is our government exploiting our faith? just because you do not agree with the way things are going doesn't mean that you have to agree with it...but your bitterness is not going to change anything...except piss you off...that is about it.

The dichotomy of your question is not even in the ballpark.
Is there a Democrat-Republican conspiracy that they are all in on, even if it is an unstated set of tendencies which they passively agree upon according to their value system? And what is the nature of such a conspiracy? Give examples.
On the question of exploiting faith, I do not understand in what sense, we do not have a Theocratic state, or it is minimal at most. Minimal! But everyone has their own set of values, and many such values somewhat agree or remotely agree or totally disagree with Biblical principles.
What is the problem with values is that we have X from the Bible is so, and so it is reasonable to have value Y. Therefore X is true so Y is true. But Y is not true, because the supposed Believer is a hypocrit: "Be ye doers of the word and not just hearers only, deceiving your own selves." And obviously we have many corrupt people in society; and our government is simply a representative sample of the people in our society: we are the government, we the people.

YES! Thanks for asking! Now that was a GOOD QUESTION! "Bully for you! However, the various Christian sects have been willing participants as well, and there are alot of so-call Sunday Christian "born-agains" that are anything but.... they self-agradize, grandstand their "newly found" beliefs and pontificate as though they've just "cornered the market" on 'morality.' And many of these hypocrites - these airheads, then will partake in unethical business practices the following Monday! The Moral Majority is composed of power-hungry autocrats that would usurp the provisions for separation of church & state... for that, they are an unwelcome arrival on the policitical scene... they mean to create an American theocracy and most Americans would die before we let that happen... Moreover, all theocracies & organized religions should "learn their place" while the secular business of this world is allowed to solve it's problems... the theocracies of this world are really at the heart of most of the world's problems. We need a UN resolution banning theocracies worldwide. I'm a Christian... but one with my head glued on straight.... I don't prostelitize egregiously in other's ears and I expect others to keep their beliefs to themselves unless invited to "share." I'm sure you catch my drift!

You know what? I don't even know if there really is a god... I've never considered myself a christian... in fact, I don't care about religion one way or another (Although I do wish the muslim fanatics would simply go off into a remote section of desert, make themselves into one giant pile, and blow themselves up in one glorious bang)... but regardless of my religious (or non-religious) beliefs, I don't like your question.
Your question smacks of extreme left wing bullcrap. It's not as offensive as extreme muslim fanatic bullcrap, but it is offensive bullcrap nevertheless.
I'm not at all religious, and I don't believe that our government is exploiting religion or faith in any way. I think YOU are pretending there is some sort of exploitation in order to foster your extreme left wing agenda.

Look up the word "fascist." Look up the phrase "ethnic cleansing." I recommend Wikipedia.
Next time, use words to mean what they mean.

part of the reason the present admisitration is in power is because of appeals to chrisitain-fundamentalists ... would any non-christian have objections to the present admin's pursuing policies which are counter to the best interests of the nation as a whole ((which policies resulting from pandering the 'religious right' ))
