I planned my wedding when I was 14. Cause it was fun for me. The best part was it was planning you can never have too much time to plan and can always choose to make changes.
Create away! That's what life is all about!

What sign are you? Are you an Aquarian? The reason why I ask is because I am an Aquarian and could not wait to leave the house, myself!
My sign likes to be independent. I like to be independent! So, you asking about planning on moving out is not weird at all....you want to be well planned for this event! I have family, too, but, when you want to be alone, Dammit, you want to be alone!
So you have at least three-four more years to really plan. I suggest you start looking to see what job you may want to apply for (or career or whatever) which area, the means of getting to work and school and who is willing to help you move.
Good luck and remember, once you are on your own, there is no turning back! You will appreciate everything you do for yourself!

LOL I know the feeling. Im 27 and planning for my apartment too. I like being independent and and love my parents but a little tierd of living with them. However, true independence means not having to go back. Make sure you are really ready to be out on your own. Get your education, have a good amount of money saved, and a solid, stable career. Without that you will be depending on people for a long time to come. If your parents are not pushing you out, take your time.
Good Luck

No, that's not weird. What'll be weird is how you're planning on supporting yourself. Are you parents willling to pay for your rent, utilities, and food? At 14, you're too young to really work, unless you take the low road and start working in illegal jobs, that'll get you nowhere and you'll end your life as a very demeaned person. Why don't you ask your parents for your own room, maybe out of the garage away from the family? You'll miss your family and trying to support yourself is very hard, even as an adult I can tell you. glgl

No, it's not weird, but keep in mind it will be several years before you're old enough. In the meantime, you can learn all there is to know about living on your own, including what bills you'll have to pay, cost of rent, how much income you'll need to earn. Before I got my first apartment, I spent the entire summer before buying things I'd need, like pots and pans and dishes. That way when I moved, I already had what I needed.

I hear ya! Loved my first apartment. I even bought some stuff ahead of time if I saw a great deal or deep discount that I was able to store at home until I was ready to move out.

A couple of suggestions:

Seriously consider Renters Insurance.
Read your Rental Lease or Rental Agreement very carefully before you sign.

I'll be 80 in a few days and would like you to take my answer seriously. The answer to your question is YES. When do you plan to give your boyfriend what he's begging for and what does he plan to do with the baby you might make. You need to listen to your parents and take it to heart. Remember that you don't have a damn thing that they want from you except your love and respect.

Not weird or strange. Nothing wrong with childhood fantasies or imagination. Just don't set yourself up for any great disappointments. You will eventually find out that the real world doesn't always accommodate our wishes. It is much harder to "achieve" goals than it is to "imagine" them. Sorry, but that's the way of it. Still, it's a good thing to have goals. Work toward them. Eventually you will achieve them. But please don't be disappointed if you find you can't start out, magically, with your dream apartment.

no that is wonderful that you are starting to plan ahead for your future. BUT... make sure you have fun while you are 14 and don't get to stressed before you turn 18 cause you will hate it. have fun now. you seem very well raised and mature. do it right and everything will work out fine. God Bless

I know exactly what you mean. I bought an expensive set of pots & pans at 16, had my own towels and did everything I could to get prepared to have my own apartment. It doesn't mean you're moving out tomorrow, only that you have dreams!!
