Can a US Citizen buy property in Jamaica?

I know for a fact that US corporations can buy property in Jamaica. I am not certain about private ownership of real estate, but it seems probably. Check out JAMPRO at www.investjamaica.com. If you can't find out whether private individuals who are US citizens may own property in Jamaica, surely you can find an email address on the site to write to somebody at JAMPRO, and they will know.
