The way he walked down that alley with his nails scrapping across the walls......
or, the way, in the last scene, he sucks the mother right through the front door window....
I could go on and on, but, really, that is enough!

I agree with it being Jaws. I was only saying to a young girl yesterday, how that film really scared people back then and wouldn't go in the sea that summer. Films don't scare that much now. The music does still gives me the creeps though.

Yes Jaws scared everyone out of the water. Poltergeist because of the clown, and Watcher in the Woods.

I watched loads of horror films when i was a kid "Nightmare on Elm Street" etc and the film that scared me the most (bizarrely) was Gremlins. Go figure.

Yea Jaws Kept me from the beach for a long time. "Pet Cemetery" scared the **** outta me as a kid....which is why I'm scared of cats now lol

the 2 films that scared me wen i was a wee kid was
"dolls" specially the bit wen the Doll was standin at the top of the stairs with the knife.
and
"troll" it was jst the whole idea that a troll could enter a building and make it its own nightmare kingdom.
