Ahhh, The War of Northern Aggression!!

I will say that most people outside the south really don't understand the war and don't know what happened before during and after but then that should be expected. They really have no reason to be interested. Those of us in the south on the other hand are tied to that legacy forever and it is something every person must come to terms with even after 140 years.

Is that a website about the war against slavery? I'm just kidding. I realize that slavery was almost a non issue in the civil war. I also would like to point out that history is almost always written by the winners. Sadly that gives people a distorted view of what actually happened. Most people would like to believe that The USA was in the right in that war, when in all reality, the founding fathers of the USA intended for states to be able to secede from the union if they did not think it was serving them in a good way anymore. After all, the CSA was merely trying to do what the USA did in 1776 when it declared its independence from England.
I still beleive that the South would have won that war if Robert E Lee had not tried to invade the north, and had just defended south from the invading armies.
