Since I was in my teenage years, I have been sexually aroused by the idea of being tickled. I know it sounds strange, but something about unrestrained laughter has been something of a release to me, which I feel could lead to other forms of release, I suppose.

I confessed this to a boyfriend two years ago, who said I could tell him anything, and when I did, it eventually led to our splitting up (he thought it was "bizarre"), so I'm pretty conscious about telling anyone, even here.

Serious answers... is this even somewhat normal, these feelings?

Tickling is one of the least familiar forms of sex play. Among tickling enthusiasts there is even considerable disagreement as to the relationship between tickling and sex.

There is nothing wrong with you. Everyone has their own turn on's, your's are no more strange than anyone elses!!!

There is nothing wrong with you. I have the exact same fetish. I love to tickle and be tickled.

I find it "bizarre" that he wouldn't enjoy tickling his girlfriend. Even guys without this fetish enjoy that to a degree.

Don't let other people dictate what is the right and wrong way to be when it comes to this as long as it's between 2 consenting adults.

It's nothing really serious, just a fetish, and not really a bad one. It seems though, you told it to some guy, with no imagination or sympathy for you.
Next time, be sure, you know the guy better before you tell him of your fetish.
In the meantime, don't worry about it, there are lots of people who have a fetish or two. It doesn't make you a bad person, it is just part of who you are.

I think it is normal. Everybody has their own little fetishes. By you telling your boyfriend and him not accepting it- that is his problem. Don't let it make you feel weird about yourself. You might even find somebody out there that enjoys the same thing.
