I think they might both suck because it seems to me like the rise of special effects is also accompanied by a lot of lazy screenplays.

Transformers, it's supposed to be live action, not CGI.

Spider-man 3. Spider-man was a decent, though flawed movie which was compelling and entertaining. Spider-man 2 was excellent and had better effects; in fact, I think it's one of the best comic book movies ever made. So I imagine the third should at least maintain some of the same good standards set by its predecessors.
Transformers... well, who knows what you'll get?
I'll hedge my bets on what I know will have the higher standard going in (though I'll probably see Transformers when it comes out as well).

Spider-Man 3 will be better because Sam Raimi is the director again and that is important for the franchise to have the same person running the whole show. Plus, Spidey has a built in audience which a lot bigger than Transformers and that will prove itself at the box office.

Well i would have to go with Spider Man 3 because i never was a transformers fan. I am a spider man fan even though i am a girl.

transformers changed into way more effective, however i'm a huge spider-guy fan, im a fashion higher transformers fan, plus they uesed peter mccullen for optimus primes voice, that changed into an fantastically good pass on their section, and all and sundry who doesnt like that action picture doesnt comprehend what a sturdy action picture is
