How come so many people are naive about celebrities, espcially the female ones?

I mean, like with makeup and everything. So many say, "Wow, she's so HOT!!" or other immature crap like that, but don't they realize the celebritie's so-called gorgeous image is from excellent lighting and makeup to make them look their best? I know it's not just anyone with any kind of traits that can look beautiful as so many actresses are called, but you know... sure, even myself I can say this or that celebrity is gorgeous, but I go deeper and think, "Now how would she look like if she had none of those probable fake eyelashes or all of that foundation caked on her probably terrible skin." Because, also, the more they seem to be hiding by having tons of makeup and lighting, the more you can bet they're not looking as great as they're made to be. I know some are shallow enough to think a good body is enough, but who says a beautiful body is everything as well? Maybe only awful diets do the work... anyway, I think you get the point... what do you think and only real answers please!

To Ragazzo- I happen to be very beautiful, inside AND out on the contrary to practically all (if not all) celebrities and I don't why I would be jealous of fake beauty anyway. So, what you said is both pathetically and lamely wrong.

People have grown up seeing these celebrities in the best light on TV, the movie or in magazines. They have never seen or met these people. That is why they can have an unrealistic view based on what they do see & hear about them. If you had to live with Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt it would be a different story. They are just like us with bad habits that bug our spouses. If people want to believe the glamorous lifestyle crap then let them. Once they grow up they will see the light. Also, with movies in HD now it will be difficult to hide the flaws without lots of makeup which will be so obviously caked on.

I agree totally. Only a few of us can see through that fake crap. I made a similar question about why people can't understand that celebs lose weight so fast b/c they have the money to do so. I'm so sick of people envying them. GET A LIFE PPL!

Excellent point...you realise it...top Hollywood makeup artists (who are the best in the world) say the day of the Emmy's--- will make $10,000. a day. They could make a pumpkin look beautiful. And there are a lot of events throughout the year...

Yes, our society has a big problem with celebrities. Most people don't take the time to think about what real beauty is and why we glorify celebrities so much.

This is because the general public sees what it wants to see. The way all too much of society wants the rest of us to look like. I do not believe that it is ignorance, it is merely fantasy. We watch reality shows with people who look good, yet in any of those reality situations, do our friends or neighbours look like the people on the screen.?. No, because "reality" does not have "actors", like the television.

People (especially guys) have them as "gods" when really they're just like the girl you would see at school, gorcery store, mall, etc.
Really there's nothing we can do but to complaint and eventually ignore it!
