At the top right of the Yahoo home page look for Page Options, click it and choose Change to Narrow Layout. No need to change your screen resolution!

on the top of the browser where you go to close it look to see if the little button next to the X looks kind of like [] if it does then try clicking it and it should make the browser fit your screen. if it does not change your screen resolution. or go to the page and click Page Options and click Change To Narrow Layout
HOPE THIS HELPS :)

If the old Yahoo works, look down at the bottom. There should be a link to revert back to the old Yahoo page.

Simply change the screen resolution on your laptop so there is more real estate for your browser.
