Ive tried them all. Stink bait from the store works the worst. Liver is pretty good. Chicken innards are good. The BEST thing I ever used that caght fish after fish every time was shrimp that I let sit out in the sun for 2 or three days so it really smelled. If you use this, be sure to take some lemon slices and water to get it off your hands right then or you will smell like it for days. Another thing you can do is get a milk jug and poke some holes in it. Put a few rocks in it to weight it down. Fill with dog or cat food and sink it where you fish. Come back in a week or so and you have a honey hole full of cats! Good luck!

Catfish are poop eater. LOL they are scavengers. Anything that is rotten or dead. My dad caught a 15 ponder on Leches though. Might have been luck ,I don't know since he fished all the time. In fact I was raised fishing,and stinky is best for catfish.
He also used rotten liver in a panty hose. make a small ball and tie it... put it on the hook. Hope you catch the BIG ONE.
Remenber this they are bottom feeders.

your first answer is correct. A catfish is a bottom feeder. The more it smells, the better the bait will be. In the past, we've also used chicken guts....stuff like that. It worked well.

Anything stinky usually does the trick for catfish. They sell packs of catfish bait at place like Wal-Mart. I've also heard of people using corn kernels and peices of hotdog.

Sausages and hot dogs. I have used these two and caught many catfish. Just sink it as the bottom with a bobber at the top and wait.... Good luck!

chicken liver will get u the bigger ones and i meen dig ones let it sit out in the sun 4 a day then go fish use heavy line so u can bring in the big ones
