get him a rabbit food. This ration will have all the essential nutrients he needs. otherwise you can give them vegetable and fruits, but keep it limited.

Rabbit food. Pellets may be boring to you, but they're a balanced diet for him. Timothy hay is good for him in addition to the pellets, stay away from alfalfa hay. Fruits & veggies are ok for grown rabbits (6 months and up) as treats in small portions: carrots, apples, bananas, etc. Don't feed lettuce or anything too watery. Pieces of bread, dried oatmeal, and a few pieces of non-sugary cereal (Cheerios, etc.) are also good treats.

Timothy hay is a good staple. You can pretty much supply them with an endless supply. Some rabbits also like mint, collard greens, cilantro, parsley, dandilion greens...Ice berg lettuce is not very good for them because it lacks nutrients. Limit the alfalfa pellets to about 1/2 cup a day. Keep the sweet treats, like fruit and carrots to a minimum. Bunnies tend to get fat.

I have three bunnies and they love parsley, spinach leaves, kale, basil, and small amounts of lettuce and also carrot tops, try to limit the rabbit on his carrots because too many will cause him to have gastrointestinal disorders it is important that he eats green's like the ones listed above and should always have timothy hay at all times in his cage hay is very important and it keeps his teeth in good shape and rabbits also need chew sticks or wood blocks to chew on all pet stores have these items.

Whatever you do do not feed it LETTUCE, it can kill a bunny! Also no cabbage and no grass until it is at least 6 months old, Timothy hay is very good for them also carrots and celery please visit this site it tells you a lot about what to feed a rabbit and i use it as a guide to feeding my own rabbits

If you have a field with tall grass near by they love that. They pretty much like any vegetables. Maybe an apple. They also make rabbit pellets. Give them a bowl of the pellets and a bowl of the grass and veggies and fresh water and he will be verry happy.

get him rabbit pellets from the store. do not overfeed him carrots or other water-y veggies because they get diarrhea. and no fruit for that same reason! give him two crushed papaya enzyme tablets once a day. you can get the, at the drug store. they help bunnies break down fur balls (they can't cough the up like cats) also, give him timothy or alfalfa--- depending on his age, ask at the pet store. good luck! bunnies are great pets!!

By the way those pellets qare like a side dish. Main meal is veggies. always have a bowl full, they can't over eat veggies. most are okay. Lettus, spinach, raisins, appricots are all yummy.
The pellots you can replace with hay. whatever works best.
And clean water all the time.
(oliver says she likes dandilions leaves alot)
Bon Appetit!

I find mine really like his wire cage(had multiple cages) being put out on the lawn where the yard grass would stick through. He liked regular grass better than all the foo foo stuff with the exception of apples and celery. He loved those.
