It happens all the time though many Gay people will most likely befriend someone they feel no attraction for, what-so-ever. Oftentimes the Gay person will becomes friends with a wife and in turn her husband, that is one of those natural progressions in life. Often the husband is happy knowing that the wife has a strong capable male friend when she goes out to events & such, and the husband has other things to do - - and there are those husbands who do not truly like to go shopping, it makes them happy when she has a friend who does like shopping, that too strengthens the bond between straight & gay male.

Well, you just said that you were scared to tell your parents that you were gay, and that they were strict Christians. Do you want to have more straight guy friends so you can somehow magically not be gay? Or do you want more straight guy friends because you want them to see that you're not any different than a straight guy? I really hope it's the first one because, hon, being gay is nothing to be ashamed of!! I'm not gay, but I've met and had a lot of gay friends. They are sometimes more wonderful than straight people!! They tend to have a bigger heart and more friendly. Please don't try to go the "straight path" if truly in your heart you know that you're gay. Don't pretend!! If it's the second one, then you can't cure homophobia!! You might be able to get some people to see that there's nothing wrong with being homosexual, but some people are very stubborn in their beliefs. I wish you the best of luck!!! Stay true to yourself and don't change for others just because what you are isnt "normal" in societies world!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can a straight women have a guy friend as a friend. Yeah.
You aren't goign to sleep with everyone, pleny of straight guys can be friends.
If however the individual is homophobic, then you should avoid him. Remember, homophobics hate gays, and actively go against it. I have friends who don't care if I'm gay and are fine with it, and I have friends who just passively disagree meaning that they dont ask and I dont tell details or anything. If however, a person will elcture you and try to change you or threaten you, get away. Remember, if they threaten you, touch you, or intimidate you, this is a hate crime. It is illegal. If they don't stop, you can go to police. If they ignore you, go to state police and fbi, try online and submit complaints on line. They will not ignore you, trust me. Brwon police got screwed over by Rhode Island State police two years ago.

Maybe they're good friends. I'm straight, and I hang out with lesbians. One of my best friends is a lesbian. She and I have talked about sex, as girls do, and she sometimes feels weird talking to me about sex, sort of like she's talking to a sister! I hang out with her and her partner all the time. She hangs out with me and my husband all the time. We're just friends! I'm pleased to see they are so respectful of each other to be friends across sexuality lines!
