I have had Lime Wire and Norton for almost 2 years and it works wonders. In fact you don't need Norton to check for viruses, LW come with an element that pops an emergency window notifying that the file you're downloading is corrupted, You just have to click on Deleat / Stop download, go to the "Incomplete" folder locate the file and trow it to the recycle bin! Besides many state that it's illegal but only if you meant to sell the songs in mix CD's, if you use it for personal and private use is as loyal as a puppy. And finally when you install it it will ask you if you meant to use for illegal purpouses. Just click on No I Dont.

hey i have nortons and limewire and an ipod and i have not had any problems whatsoever with it. but, you cant have very many programs open at once when you have limewire open because it slows your computer down a bit.

My nephew downloaded limeware and immediately all my anti-spyware software and firewalls sent up a red flag against it. I haven't heard anything good or reputable about it and I removed the download before it went any further. Better safe than sorry.

Limewire is as safe as you allow it to be. Make sure you run virus scan at least oncea week and you should be ok.

I heard that it's safe although I don't have it on my PC. However, without an Antivirus nothing on the net is safe! Be careful what files you download!
