Singing is an easier thing to judge.
America's Got Talent compares acts that are in different genres of entertainment. This makes the judging more subjective.

American Idol is way better. Too many freaks are on America's Got Talent.

well american idol you get a recording deal and like other prizes as oppose to americas got talent where you just get i think 1 million dollars?

never watch american idol cause it was so boring. americas got talent is quite good cause sometimes they got these really talented people come up and perform.

America's Got Talent is HORRIBLE. Look at the people! David Hasselhoff? Brandy? REGIS PHILBAN?!?!?! It has "second rate" written all over it!

American Idol wasn't that good to me this go round,the only reason I continued to watch it is becuz of soul patrol.A. got talent isn't that good to me.

two different types of competitions... can't really put them on the same level! I think that idol is more entertaining.
