I would tell your Nephew that you to like that name and let him know that your also thinking of using it. Also take into consideration how much time do you spend with your family and the other Noah.
Or it's also a possibility to use it as a middle name, but I do know that you said you didn't find any other names that you liked as much as this one. I to was going to name out son Noah, but we were adopting and out adoption didn't finsih in time for us to change his name, without confusing him. So we changed his middle name from Michael to "MICAH" that I like as much as I did Noah.
Keep a open mind, and Remember it's your child you get to pick the name.
good luck

Congratulations, Noah is a great name, and there is no reason why you should not also name your son Noah if that's the only name you really like. We have the same thing, we love Connor for a boy (I am not pregnant but if we had a son in the future this is what we would call him) but his sister also has that name at the top of her list, and she is due in October. her attitude is that she was pregnant first and so has first choice, but I would still call my son Connor regardless of their choice of name.

If you had your heart set on the name Noah, go ahead and name your child that. It doesn't matter what your family thinks.

I had my heart set on naming my daughter after my husband's side of the family which really hit hard on my sister; however, the name that we picked out I have wanted for a LONG time....my husband just happend to pick his sister's name for our baby's middle name. Oh well.....

Personally, I would go with Noah. You all will figure out how to deal with two in the family. It happens all the time with father and son. If you have your heart set on that wonderful name, don't break your heart!

I think if you want to name your son noah go for it although your nephew may be a little hurt or feel like your copying him. Maybe you should talk to him before your baby is born.

Go ahead...name your baby Noah! I always wanted to name my baby girl Riley. I got married and shortly after got pregnant with a girl. But, my husbands cousin's boy has the name Riley. So, I named my little girl something else. I love my little girl's name; but I decided that if I have another girl in the future that her name will be Riley!

Noah is a lovely name for a boy...
Don't worry about what anyone else names their child, even if it is in your family...After all...you don't live with the other Noah do you? So it doesn't really matter.
And congratulations on your babys arrival!

you can still name your baby Noah if that's what you want. To avoid confusion..just give him an easy middle name, too, so that the family can use both names when they are talking about him.
