what is your opinion about "louis ferdinand celine"?

in my opinion he is greatest french author
and his book " journey to the end of the night" is a masterpiece

Comparatives are easier to defend than superlatives. Certainly Celine is a great author. Can be favorably likened to James Joyce, though darker and more misanthropic.

It's about forty years since I read that book and agree it is a great novel but I wouldn't rate him as the greatest french author.
Try Albert Camus, Antoine de St Exupery and Michel de Montaigne.
