Doctors are always saying dont go into medicine for the money. They claim that there are far better paying jobs, so go into those. The funny thinng is that they never say which ones. I would be surprised to hear what job pays more thatn $150,000 a year?

1. Acting job if you become famous.
2. PhD in the sciences and land a teaching job in a prestigious university.
3. Realtor in a booming market or area.
4. Orthodontist.
5. Be a novel writer, and get a book published.
These are potential high paying jobs.

You shouldn't choose a career based on how much money you make, especially when your career involves aiding people you barely know to heal. If there's something about being a doctor that attracts your interest, and you feel you'd be good at it and not cranky that you hate your job, but oh the money is good! then do it. But if you're just learning people's intimate secrets for your own ******* gain, then the medical industry suffers, and your patients suffer, and you break the hypocratic oath. Don't be a sell-out doctor.

But I agree, doctors do make a lot of money. However, I think they work hard for what they do. Others are depending on them for their lives so they must face a lot of pressure.
