No, I have never received the flu shot in my entire life (and have only gotten the flu, or something like it, once when I was little, some 10-15 years ago). The thing is, the flu virus is constantly mutating and there are so many different strains of it that doctors can only make an educated guess as to which strain will rear its ugly head this year.
Keeping a healthy immune system is the BEST way to prevent diseases. Vaccines can never guarantee an immunity. I think the best choice is to eat healthy, exercise (even if that means going for a walk every once in a while), drink water, and get plenty of rest.
However, the medical community highly recommends the flu vaccine for people with compromised immune systems, like people with AIDS or the elderly. So it would be best for you to weigh the risks versus the benefits of the vaccine (personally, I know a lot of people who get the vaccine and still get the flu).

No.
Although, as a health worker in the UK means I can get mine for free, I don't feel I need one. I don't have any health problems that would leave me debilitated by flu nor am I old. I think sometimes it's good to a have flu as it builds up your immune system and I'd only get on if it looked as if the vaccine was specifically for a more virulent strain of flu such as the Bird Flu.

no. It is a joke. you get the shot and you still get the flu.
the only way not to get the flu,is that the peolpe who have it should stay home instead of showing up to work or going out.
