You go by what your doctor says since he is the medical professional handling your prenatal care and if you want to know what was in the sac, just go back and ask.

You will have a better idea when the doctor does the 4 month ultrasound. But either one of you can be about a week off either way. It won't really matter, other than psychologically to you. The baby will come when it is ready. Some come a little early, some a little late and can be a good week or two either direction.

Do not be afraid to ask the doctor to explain himself. That is his job. No question is a "stupid" question. You are not the one who went to medical school. He does not expect you to understand everything.

Having read some of the kinds of answers given on this site, asking questions here may not be your best option for getting reliable information. There are many reliable medical sites for getting information regarding gestation. Do some research. Make a list of questions for your doctor.

Your cycle is the best indicator. Count from the first day of your last period. NOT the last day of menstruation. Doctor should know that. Size doesn't necessarily mean age.
