I am an Occultist, she deserves worse then death, harming a child is the ultimate sin in my religion.

She needs to go to a residential mental health facility. She was sick long before she took the boys lives. Her symptoms were typical of severe postpartum depression. The husband wanted a big family, sent her mother home after she came to help, leaving Andrea the bulk of the responsibility for the children. She even showed signs of PPD before the birth of the last child.
She doesn't deserve the death penalty - she'll be living in her own hell on earth once her mind is clear enough to grasp fully what she's done. I feel sorry for her in that regard.
And what does the comment bloodthirsty Christians have to do with the question? As Christians we are taught to forgive others, and have compassion. Judgment is between the person and God.

She'd be lucky to go to a mental institution and not to prison. And, by the way, Christian or not, what she did is wrong. If she was indeed that insane, maybe her husband should also be on trial for not doing something about it. There's no way someone can hide being that sick in her own family. But she needs to pay for what she did. I mean, come on--who in their right mind is going to honestly say,"Oh, it's OK, Andrea--don't let it happen again."

She should definitely go to prison, (better yet, maybe she should get the death penalty, she is from Texas). If she went to a mental institution, there is a possibility that the doctor could say she is "well adjusted" after thirty days, and recommend her release. She knew what she was doing. She knew when her husband left, she would only have a certain amount of time before her mother-in-law arrived at their home. It was premeditated.

PRISON without a doubt. If they send that killer to a crazy house it will just encourage other mothers (they don't even deserve to be called mothers) to kill their unwanted children and then claim they were insane or they will try to use PostPartum depressioin as their excuse for brutally murdering their own children. Too many women blame their sick actions on PostPartum depression...when the truth is...they just decided that they don't want to be tied down with all of those kids so they kill them...claim temporary insanity due to PP depression and then get out of jail free.....to live a life without children. She should get the death penalty in my opinion. ....by drowning...just like she did to her cute little boys.--------I can't believe there are actually WOMEN on here posting that believe that sick b i t c h had Post Partum depression. Isn't it awfully funny that her Post Partum depression conviently kicked in after she already had FIVE children?? She is a liar who is trying to manipulate the legal system. Even if she was depressed what human being with a HEART could drown a child who is BEGGING for their life? She has no heart and should pay for her crimes. Otherwise...every woman that has had a child can go out here and kill and then get off because it was PostPartum depression that made them do it. This is just like those stupid women who claim Menopause made them kill their husband.

She should be hospitalized until well, and her former doctor should be held liable for the murders. His help was repeatedly sought by her and her husband, and this was ignored, her husband begged the dr. to reinstate her haldol injections. The family was very worried about her and almost never left her alone with the children, clearly in hindsight for good reason. But she thought in her deranged state that she was doing what was best for those kids, and had she been of sound mind this would not have happened, her ilness is treatable and the doctor is negligent in failing to respond to the family's requests, and concerns.

She should definitely go to prison!

Many women claim to be mentally depressed and I do not think that this is a good excuse for killing your children! She could have gotten help from her family, minister, or a friend!

The woman is a fruit cake who needs to be hospitalised for life. It is her husband and the doctors who dealt with her who should be jailed for letting her wander around, caring for her children in that condition. If she'd been sectioned when the second it was evident she was ill (and with someone like her, it would have been obvious) then those poor kids wouldn't be dead now.

Personally,I believe Andrea had post partem psychosis.According to the documentary, she told the drs.she wasn't ready to go home from the hosp.when they released her.Her husband was not educated enough to know how to help her but, he does not need to go unpunished either .I do not believe she belongs in a mental hospital or prision. The signs for help were ignored.

I have no doubt she needs help and may need to be in a Mental Facility for a long time.
I would guess ,that she lives in self torture everyday. She can never take it back. Now that she has been on medication and recieved help I don't know if she can ever forgive herself.
Now that would be punishment!!!1

I would hope she would get the death penalty. I remember another case some years ago where the mother killed her 5 kids, went to prison, came out, had 5 more kids and killed them too.
