I'm just curious. I have one I purchased on eBay a while back, and it works with XP, so I thought maybe I could use it. Besides, I'm on a low budget nowadays.

I think maybe it's a Santa Cruz 5.1 model, but I'm not sure, as I didn't get a box with it. But I may be wrong. I'd have to ask Voyetra.

For just playing around on your computer, yes. But eventually you might want to step up to a better card. For starters it has a fairly low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) - 95 dB, so I would guess there will be some noise (hiss) that goes with it. There are much cleaner sounding cards than this. It does appear to have midi and line in and mic in, so that's a plus. But it all comes down to what you need. If you just want to play around and it sounds good to you, then that's all you need. For more serious computer musicians though, this card would not cut it.
