I run maybe 30-35 miles weekly, and people have told me that my stride is off. does anyone know the proper way to land the foot as you go forward?

also, what is the best arm position, up near the shoulders, or down near the waist?

for distance running, you want a long relaxed stride. Reach far forward with your foot, land on your heel, roll through your foot, and push off with your toe. It should feel like your feet are rolling, not pounding.

your arms should be relaxed around your waist, just let them hang free. Sprinters pump with their arms, but distance runners dont.

On the heel and roll forward, don't land flat footed or on the toes.
Waist, with elbows bent, forearms forward.

Try with your arms bent from the elbow at about a 90 degree angle.
