Why do people like you insist on asking questions that encourage others to back up their answers, and then state that you'll simply pick the answer the goes along with your own tastes? Why not the best-supported answer?

The 80s isn't old! My favorite old movie is the Godfather. My favorite 80s movie is Return of the Jedi or Top Gun (before Tom Cruise went crazy).

Aliens????

Mines are:

E.T. - I like "E T phone home" that line and whenever I phone home from foreign countries, I feel like I'm ET.

An Officer and A Gentleman - Richard Gere was real cool in that movie!

Top Gun - I actually like "iceman" more!!! The title song is cool, Tom Curise was young and cute!

Rainman - Dustin Hoffman & Tom Curise (he's not as cute as in Top Gun though)!!!

The Blue Lagoon - Brooke Shields was only 15!!!!!!!

P.S. I like "Some like it hots" too, but that's 1959 - its famous ending, Joe E Brown said "Nobody's Perfect" to Jack Lemmon. Laughed my axx off!
